That's not true.  A radiology technician can generally earn certification in 4 years, sometimes less depending on the pace at which they complete the coursework.  Most degree programs are actually 2 years in length, but it also takes a bit of time to complete prerequisite general science courses.  If it takes you 6 years to become a radiology tech you're doing something wrong.

    I assume this is what you're referring to, because a radiologist is a medical doctor with a high school diploma, a 4-year undergraduate degree, 4 years of medical school, and 4 years of residency training.
