How many more days till the next NHL regular season game?

I am bored (no hockey games on) and was just wondering if anyone had any estimates on when the NHL season opening game will be.

I read that they are actually starting a little later this year because they are trying to avoid some conflict with football, Im not really sure of the details though.  It sucks even more since this years post season ended so early.

I haven't counted, but I find myself flipping thru the channels on Versus and FSN looking for SOMETHING!!

I will be there for his retirement ceremony to see that 19 in the rafters at the Pepsi Center. I just hope it's not this next year!!!

They will not have the official schedule out until some time in mid-July.  They will start in some time in early October, so using October 1st as the start date, we have at least 115 days before they drop the puck.
