  1. get a rubber lipped pleco that all

  2. Okay the 1 gallon of water per inch of fish rule is c**p. Your fish need a much larger tank than a 28 gallon tank. I don't care if combined they are only 26 inches your tank is too small for these types of fish. You need to at least upgrade to a 55 gallon tank and then you can maybe thinking about adding more fish. Until then I suggest you add nothing and save your money till you can buy a bigger tank.

  3. ...did she really just say a 10 inch fish can live in ten gallons?  Wow.

  4. when adding fish to an aquarium you must follow the rule- for every inch of fish you have AT ITS FULL GROWN SIZE, you should have a gallon of water. so a 10 inch fish needs 10 gallons of water. so with what you have now you are using up 26 gallons of water. so techincally u shouldnt add anything. but if you keep up on syphoning and water changes, i would say you could safely add about 3 tiger barbs, albino tiger barbs, or long-finned rosey barbs (but they have to have at least 3 because they are schooling fish) you may also be able to get away with another gourami, or a rainbow or redtailed shark. however just one of the above options not all.

  5. one fish per gallon
