How many more meters are added when running four laps from third lane?

track size is 400 meters and starting position is same as it would be for first lane runner.

  1. it turns out to be the same distance with staggered starts. but i guess around 50 meters extra..if you dont cut in


  2. If you need a more accurate answer, please provide two important pieces of information (assuming a 400 meter track or 1/4 mile track?)

    width of each lane

    distance from the edge of the inside of lane one, perpendicular across the infield, to the edge of the inside of lane one on the other side.

    From that we can calculate a close number for you.

  3. 40 meters extra because each lane you add 5 meters and its the third lane so 10 times four which is 40
