  1. It depends on weight and drag, but I estimate that you can get a top speed of 10-12 mph

  2. It really depends on a lot of factors.  But the main ones are weight and drag of your boat.

Borrow a GPS unit from someone and take a ride.  My guess is probably around 8mph give or take a couple of miles per hour.

  3. not too fast less than 10mph..depending on certian factors

  4. You are not giving enough information to even make a guess!

What would be needed to work into the fourmla would include:

What kind of boat? Shape of the hull?

What does the boat weigh? How many people in the boat and what do they weigh? Is the bottom of the boat Foul or is it Clean waxed and polished? Are you going with or against the wind and current? How strong are they? What are the sea

    conditions ?(waves chop fetch)

If you want to assume that all of the above are medium then guess that your speed would be medium 10 to 15 Konts not MPH

  5. depends on wieght and drag

    ask more speciafically please

  6. too many variables there

the shape of boat, the weight it is carrying

I have a small aluminum boat and an 8 hp motor, with just me it goes about 15 mph, with two people it only does about half that much.

the advice about borrowing a gps is a good one, they are pretty common, you probably know someone with one.

  7. Hi there

You need to be more specific with your question.Without knowing what all the boat details are there is no way to answer properly except that theroeticly the smaller boat will travel faster than the larger one with the same moter on it.

  8. Completely dependent on the size, shape and weight of the boat.

  9. more then likely a boat that has that size of motor unless it is back up on a smaller sail boat, will have oar locks, and if that is the case it will sail much faster then you can row anyway pending on the vessel 3 to15 mph is best you can hope for.

that is like 2 - 11 knots pending on the design of vessel;)
