How many murders are a result of one man or woman just snapping on the spot due to pure anger at someone else?

I mean when you think about it, if one person gets mad at another person in whatever situation, all it takes is a moment of complete anger. Are a lot of murders a result of this, just a spontaneous burst of fury unleashed on someone else?

A lot of murders take place in circumstances similar to those you describe.  Alcohol is often a contributing factor.

I would say maybe a third on the spot murders, a third of the murders are to collect life insurance, and a third of the murders are robberies or drug caused, just guessing.

Some are to get rid of the wife who is about to find out about an affair.
