680 miles is the direct straight course>But since the currant is coming from east to west> to north> It would be hard to travel straight there> Or battle 2 to 3 + knots of currant> Wind in the summer months  east to west > Or high seas in the winterwinds north to south> so research your trip if going> And unless you go to Cuba which is south> Skipping haiti there are no land falls> Till DR> So have a lot of fuel and food> Shelter of some sort at Cal Sal Bank but not in a storm or winds>And no previsions or islands only rocks> And there is no security at all so be prepared>Some travel across to Andros then across the silver banks>weather permiting> But quite a distance> weather is your problem>
