Question:

How many neon tetras can live in a 5 gallon tank? Could i also add some corydoras or maybe ghost shrimps?

  1. A group of 3 can fit in it at most. You can't add any more fish like corydoras, but you can add a few shrimps. Just make sure the neons don't eat them.


  2. none...a minimum of 10 gallons is absolute necessary...and get long tanks..they need to shoal..in a 10 gallon tank a school of 6-7 is ok...get plants and they need hiding places..so the tank should have lot of plants..java moss and java fern are hardy ones...also silk plants are good...neons are very sensitive to ph...and also not very hardy..many die on the way from the pet store to your house...In a 10 gallon you can have 3-4 shrimps in addition to your neons...actually try cardinal tetras..equally beautiful..same colors...infact more colorful I think and very hardy..

  3. 1 inch of fish per gallon
