  1. There are no non New Zealanders in the All Blacks. All players were either born in NZ or are permanent residents. Why do people not understand that like all countries New Zealand is made up of many cultures and has the biggest polynesian population in the world.

If you look at most other rugby playing nations I'm sure you'll find members in their teams whose nationality you could question.

All Blacks that are of other cultures get really pi@@ed off at this sort of question. They are Kiwis.

  2. many, actually more than a half. They seduce the rest of the poor neighbour islanders with the chance of playing super 14, and book the best to play for the all blacks. Australia does the same. Only south africa and pumas have 100% national teams.

  3. In fairness.. New Zealand export a h**l of a lot of players too.... that play in various national teams..Think the team with the highest number of imports is italy, followed by scotland and then japan. You can't really argue with the New Zealand structure or producing rugby professional players. It is probably the best in the world.

  4. Not as many as the number of "non-Scots" playing for Scotland, or the number of "non-Americans" playing for USA............. the list goes on...

  5. Too many mate!Look at every rugby team in the world, every single one has someone in it that comes from a different country originally anyway!

  6. WTF... They either need to be born here, have permanent resident or citizenship to play for All Blacks. So you can't really say that we have "Non-New Zealanders" playing for All Blacks. They either migrated here or were born here. And if "Non-New Zealanders" wanted to play for their country, then they can do so as well as living here. They play for All Blacks because they chose to. Look at hooker Keven Mealamu. His parents are Samoan but he was born here so he can play for New Zealand. Also Look at Jerry Collins. He says that he is proud of Samoan heritage but he plays for New Zealand and he was born in Samoa.

And if you say we are multi-nationalities' team, then every good team will be.

And we lose a lot of players as well. We lost 7 players to European Clubs  and Japanese Club out of 30 RWC 2007 squad.

    Hayman - Newcastle(ENG)

    Jack-Saracens(ENG)

    Thorne-Yamaha(JPN)

    Kelleher-Toulouse(FRA)

    Mauger-Leicester(ENG)

    McAlister-Sale(ENG)

    Howlett-Munster(IRE)

and much more who were not in the RWC squad.

We don't "BUY" players for Super 14 like English and French do for Heineken Cup and Guinness Premiership.

  7. They have many, mainly poached from the Pacific islands which is AB's gain and the Islands losses.
