Also, how many did you learn that there are?

A bunch of websites I've been to list everything from 5 to 8, but a college textbook I borrowed from my older brother lists six.

(Composed of Cells, Grow and Develop, Regulate their Metobolic Processes, Respond to Stimuli, Reproduce, and Evolve and Become Adapted To The Environment).

I'm doing a summer honors biology assignment that makes you write an essay on at least four characteristics of living things, but I want to take it to the next level by listing all of them and further explaining why one thing would be considered living and another thing wouldn't.

Thanks! =]
