Think about the odds of having multiples. For twins, it's about 3%. The odds of conceiving triplets naturally is around 1 in 8100, and the odds of conceiving quadruplets naturally is around 1 in 729,000. Granted, I know that most of the higher order multiple pregnancies these days are a result of fertility treatments, but even so, the odds of conceiving triplets on fertility drugs is approximately 1 in 700 (and of course, the odds of having quadruplets or more is even more remote).
And yet, it seems like one out of four posts here asks about "what to name my twins/triplets/quadruplets/etc." Yes, I am sure that some of them are legitimate, but there is no question that the percentage of people who post here claiming to be expecting multiples (particularly the claims of higher order multiple pregnancies) are WAY beyond the percentage of women who actually conceive and give birth to triplets or more.
