How many of u have heard of city named mumbai?

ok i live in mumbai and i know it is one of the famous cities of world.. just like tokyo,london,paris,newyork etc etc..

thats what i feel but just wanna confirm that i don,t wanna hear that its overpoulated,busy and all.. just wanna know di most americans,eurapens,africans etc etc have heard about my city.. and what u guys call it..mumbai or bombay..

and also delhi is capital of india which is more famous mumbai or delhi in world

mumbai is one of the most famous cities in the world but not as famous as TEHRAN

I know its name changed from Bombay to Mumbai, and to many people it's hard to remember that change. Add to that the fact that our local Indian restaurant is called Bombay Nights, plus one can buy Bombay Mix from the supermarket, and it all gets a bit confusing really! Your airport also still has the code of BOM.

But here in the UK I think most people would know that Mumbai and Bombay are one and the same thing. I would hazard a guess that Delhi is slightly less well known. It's like Turkey - most people, if they didn't know, would say that Istanbul is the capital but it's not - it's just the most famous city in Turkey.

Yes, I most certainly HAVE heard of Mumbai... I've heard of New Deli-catassen, too.

But, Unlike most AmeriKans... I've been out of the country and know where INDIA is.

I think most everybody has heard of it, although most American adults still probably think of it as Bombay, just as we think of the old names like Peking, not Beijing and the like.  But we are coming around!

Are you feeling isolated today?  Don't!  You are the center of your universe!  And I think Bombay/Mumbai and Delhi are equally famous.
