How many of us teens & adults still pee in the swimming pool?

We all did when we were kids, but how many of us still do...

I never did and my kids don't - I indulge in telling them the myth that the pools have chemicals in them that will turn the water around them red if they pee.  They are too scared of the humiliation that would come with that to ever try it.  

And honestly (and according to the show mythbusters) there is no such chemical that will actually change the water color.  Urine is mostly water and the chlorine in the pool immediately kills the bacteria.

i know pee is sterile but it's just the thought of swimming in pee...

Not in the pool, but certainly in an open body of water...I mean, it's full of fish germs and whale sperm anyway so who cares?

I don't! But I'm on the high school swim team at my school, and there are some girls who tell everyone that they do...and some of them say they go to the bathroom in the showers in the locker room--the type of showers in an open room with like ten showers. I think it's disgusting, even though the chlorine kills the bacteria.

no way would i ever do that. I think i speak for all us when i say what if someone who was swimming underwater saw u do it? theres too much risk, i just do it beforehand like a normal human being

I do not do it now and never did.  When I was a kid my dad put a chemical in the pool that would turn urine bright orange.  One time a friend peed in the pool and everyone knew.

i haven't done that on purpose since i was real little. my mom put a dye in the pool that turned your suit purple. it worked. as far as now?? i would never do it on purpose now, but i peed in a river while i was floating it, because i was 8 months pregnant and i sneezed, about 8 years ago. if anyone has a problem with that, say something. i am pregnant again, and i would like to let some words fly anyway. hee-hee- by the way, the people on here that said they have "never" did that, give me a break!!! i bet you never tasted a booger either, huh??? you obviously don't have children yet.

Thats one of those things that some people probably do, but wont admit it because it is kind of gross.  Life experience about things in general though tell you that those who are the most defensive are defensive for a reason.
