  1. The US produces a lot of food.  We import a lot but those are things that we can't produce as efficiently as other countries - comparative advantage and all.  The thing is, we are the richest nation in the world.  Our economy is larger than the next two combined.  Prices will rise, see the CPI over the last few months, but we will not experience SEVERE food shortages in the next year.  We will not riot.  I've been following the situation in Haiti.  Its desperate.  We won't see anything like that here, though. What you can do is give money to food aid organizations. freerice.com is an awesome site.  go click on thehungersite.com    These are simple and easy things that you can do that has an impact.

  2. Wait until Bush shovels the North American Union down our throats while "burning the midnight candle".

  3. Yip!! Just look how much food costs are going up!! When there is supply and demand, the prices go up, and when there is a shortage, you know that the prices go up sky high!! It's sad, that one day we Americans have to stand in line to either take the mark of the beast for food, or die of starvation. It's nothing that we can do, because it's already to late. The more immigrants that come over here, the more that we will have to pay for food, gas, any basic need for survival will increase with inflation!! The reason that the immigrants get to stay, because this country has sold out for cheap labor.

That's why the borders are not closed and ceiled tightly with security, because they are clearly welcomed over here. Why do you think that Spanish is being forced on kids to learn while they are young, so that they want be in culture shock, when this country gets so packed tight with immigrants, then we have to all carry weapons, just to guard our own food supply, with more immigrants starting to thieve food, because it's none hardly left!! Oh yeah, this is a great future for our children to grow up in. They have no rights, have to learn to speak Spanish, have to learn about a heritage that is foreign to their own, forced to vote against their will for someone that they don't want to when they grow up, having to marry, what ever is left over to marry. Yeah, our children’s future is looking real bright. It's looking more and more dim to me. Is this the hope that our children will fight for one day when they are grown, for food, and real education?? WORD!!

  4. There will be no "food shortages" in the US.

  5. There's a food shortage in lots of U..S. homes today; families with children having to cut back on milk, eggs, meat, protein, all those things everyone knows to grow healthy children.

We won't have to ration food, people will have to do ration themselves or visit the food banks every week.

  6. I saw this coming long before this year, anyone with have a mind knows what is about to happen to all of us here in the USA and there is nothing any of us can do to change it.

  7. Hide and watch, folks! There is going to be a big problem in our new Third World country.  Bush has done it by allowing every corporation free reign for the last 7.5 yrs. YOU'VE DONE IT by allowing it to happen, allowing and making excuses for this moron of a President.

Oil companies can regulate their own prices by using their system: FILO:First In, Last Out; LIFO, Last In, First Out. There are variances, but lately it's been LIFO.  LIFO means DEATH-O for us all!

  8. What "analysis" are you offering.

You throw out a statement, wanting everyone to agree with you, without any information upon how you obtained this knowledge.

Where is your backup to this?

    Any links?

    Any scientific research?

    Anything?

    Whatever..

  9. Too soon for us. Give it like a decade b4 the US in is that trouble.

  10. I don't know about shortages but, the prices will continue to go through the roof as fuel prices skyrocket.  EVERYTHING we eat comes to us via a truck.

  11. I'm predicting a lack of food shortages. In other words, we're not going to be having any food shortages in the USA.

    You heard it here first.
