How many of you are/were homeschooled OR do you know any Homeschoolers?

My parents just pulled me out at the beginning of my freshmen year a few months ago and started homeschooling me. I actually like it allot better than public school. But people are changing their mind about homeschooling, kids get more education and less distractions. Most colleges actually prefer homeschooled kids because they are usually hard workers and self-disciplined.

I have a very close friend who was home schooled up until her freshman year (this year).

My son was home schooled from pre k to second grade.  He was in public school from second through seventh grade and home schooled from eighth grade until he graduated from high school. (at age 16)  Having experienced both systems I find it funny how anti homeschooling people harp on the issue of "socialization"  The only time we had problems with socialization was when we were dealing with the public school system.

My boyfriend and his three brothers and one sister were all homeschooled completely from K - 12.

I used to be home schooled but now I am an independent study student. That just means I teach myself (but my mom still helps when I ask). Its pretty much awesome. You have alot of more free time. And contrary to popular opinion we still have lots of friends, we have formals and proms, we make better grades and usally have more friends. Homeschooling doesn't shelter kids as much as parents would like to think so though.lol

I was homeschooled 7th - 12th grade.  Two of my cousins were homeschooled.  I have four good friends who were homeschooled, and I know a few people in my college group were homeschooled.
