How many of you believe the government should take care of you ?

Obama supporters apparently believe it.  Not only do they look at government spending as the solution to most societal problems, but they look at citizen's  as being the servants of government, rather than government existing to serve us in its basic constitutional roles.  That is why they think confiscatory tax policy that taxes the more productive segments of the economy at high rates is proper.  They fail to understand the goose that lays the golden egg is the profit motive and free market capitalism.  By taxing at high rates, they kill the goose, destroy wealth and perpetuate poverty.  Their solutions create more problems than they solve.

They look at prosperous citizens as being merely sources of government revenue with it being their right to confiscate income at maximum rates to feed the coffers of ineffective government.  In the process, productivity declines, and precious resources get redirected into government's ratholes. Except for government employees, we will all be made worse off under Obama.

Me Me!

I want the government to help me avoid hurting myself. I need government to help me eat healthy, and help me breathe healthy air. I need someone who will help me save my money because I am completely out of control with it. I need government to make sure Im not too free, because if I was, I would hurt myself or somebody.

I wish government was there to help me avoid hearing loss due to loud music. I wish government was there to help make me get to sleep at a better time so I can achieve optimal productivity the next day to avoid revenue loss. Afterall, the revenue is for the greater good of the community.

Government is godly, therefore we should give it more power. Government knows best, as money and career know best. We know the richest leaders are the most honest who bow before us - the surfs.

It's Saturday night, Will.  The Obama supporters have gone to bed early because they have to get up early for church.  Everyone knows Obama is a devout Christian, and most of his followers believe in God and country too.

Not this lady, let me be able to take care of my family.The less the government has to do with my life the better off my family and I are. They owe me nothing. I have never been a fond lover of the Government being

responsible for my care and welfare. They have a way

of being way to involved with you, if they are taking care

of you. Governments job is the big picture, Not micro

I think that there are certain things that the government need to take care of for the people.  I'm all for most of this stuff being in the private sector but only in the government control it properly so that people are not exploited.

As an American Indian., I have seen the Governments program for taking care of people. The waste, the administration cost, and the outright theft of Government

funds being spent to take care of the American Indian

is a tragedy, If I were you white people, I would want a complete

audit of the BIA. I wouldn't let those fore flushing losers get

away with a nickel. Thank god the tribes are becoming

self sufficent. With no longer needing the great white father.

Government has failed at every attempt to micro manage

I think that would be like remaining a child forever. Once you come of age, you become accountable and should learn to provide for yourself. It is sheer laziness to expect the government to take care of you. The big problem is, the government seems to be willing to do this for some people. The government is doing these people a real disservice. They will never know how far they could have gone if only they would have tried.
