How many of you guys out here is a Glaucoma suspect?

did the doctor tell you to get it checked out more? and what are the chances of getting the disease for a teenager? i went to the eye doctor today and i have high pressure in my eyes. they tell me to go see a doctor for diagnosis. should i go or not? im only a teenager and i think the chances are pretty small that i actrally have it.

Your eye doctor is specially trained and has experience in this area.  Glaucoma can cause blindness, if not treated.  

Children younger than you can have it.  You do not need to be old.

I am not a glaucoma suspect, but I really suggest you go in for further testing.  It's true that glaucoma is more common in older people, but young people can have it, too.  There are different types of glaucoma and they have different causes.  High pressure is a risk factor for glaucoma and can end up damaging your optic nerve if not treated.  You really want to be watched for this.
