I traded my roadster for a used Hummer H1, try to eat beef whenever possible and crank the AC!

The same crew who believes in Global warming seem to be the same kind of folks who thought that the Earth was flat and burned women at the stake for witchcraft. What flavor is your kool-aid?

  1. Its a scientific fact that global warming exists, its been proven by the worlds leading scientists.

That being said nobody gives a ****. Certainly not the politicians they just talk and talk and talk and take there bribes from companies and regular pay and do jack all. politicians just talk they don't ACT.

This is why we will all die in 300-500 years.

Sorry but its true our leaders are weak and are not willing to face tough economical times to save our lives, they are not willing to accept that for the last 40 years we have been irresponsible with emissions and commit to hard economics times to resolve our problem.  There is no real point in raising children because they will die because nobody will do anything.

  2. have fun getting like 6 miles to the gallon...

if you really look at the facts, you will see global warming exists and you are just being ignorant! :]

  3. I don't drink Kool-Aid, processed sugars have too large a carbon footprint.

You must look pretty cool waiting in line for gas while eating your double quarter pounder. By any chance do you believe a flood wiped out the dinosaurs and that the Earth is only 3,000 years old?

EDIT:  By the way, the petition you mentioned is a joke.  Of the 31,072 people who have signed it a total of 495 of them identified themselves as climate scientists.  All of the signatures were gathered without verification, and the only prerequisite to be included in the total is that you can sign a name (not necessarily yours) and check a box saying you have a college degree.  When systematic polls of scientists working at universities or research centers has been done on this topic the vast majority of scientists agree that human activities will have some influence on future climate change.

That being said, I believe climate change is based on both the natural cycle of cooling and warming that has gone on for millions of years, as well as the effects that humans have caused my introducing unnaturally high levels greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.  But by all means, have fun taking out a second mortgage to pay for gas; whether you are taking steps to help out or not there's no reason to live your life in fear.  Although you may want to, as Darwin predicted that nature usually has a way of taking care of organisms that act in ways contrary to the survival of their species.

  4. Fascinating.  Have fun with the gas prices, cholesterol, and electricity bills.

I'm not sure if you realize it, but virtually every climate scientist believes global warming.  More than 30 scientific societies have stated it is real, caused by humans, and needs immediate action.  Call me what you will, but I'm going with the scientists on this one.

Edited to add: The "33,000 accredited U.S. scientists" you refer to is probably the infamous Oregon Petition.  At various times it has included Spice Girls, actors, and fictional characters.  The petition organizers say they purge the list of such obviously fraudulent entries, but we have only their assurance that they are verifying names.

The list certainly includes a range of veterinarians, medical doctors, and others who are entirely unqualified to make a sound scientific judgement on climate science.  Notably absent from the list: climate scientists.

The distinction is astonishing--almost to a person, those who have actually examined the evidence in rigorous scientific detail (ie. climate scientists) find global is occurring and is caused by humans.  I'd give a well informed climate scientist a good deal more weight than a thousand engineers (in fact, almost 10,000 engineers have signed the Oregon petition).

As for the idea that solar forcing is causing the observed climate change, that is well refuted.  As is the idea that other planets are warming due to changes in solar output.

A quick look at the data should convince you, even if expert opinion does not.

  5. If so, you are a greedy jerk just like a lot of others who make a joke about waste of natural resources and global  warming.    Actually using up our natural resources at a rapid rate is something to worry about more than the warming, I think.   There is limited oil in the earth, and it is not being renewed.    Costs can only go up and up over time, and the increasing population of the earth can only cause more shortages of fuel and food and other resources.   If we all were to do our part, at least these things would last longer and give more time to find alternative sources.

Edit:   I don't believe that 33,000 scientists doubt global warming.   Most accept it as a fact.   This is just another lie being spread on the internet by people like you.
