  1. lots of friend or lost friend? either way your question makes little sense?

  2. Mental illness is the most misunderstood illness that exists. The first thing that pops into most people's head is you're crazy. This is so untrue. There are many intelligent people suffering from it and they come from all kinds of backgrounds. Ignorance is a lot worse thing to live with when they don't educate themselves about the illness.

  3. For the most part, all of my friends and boyfriend (now husband) were pretty understanding. It was last summer, I had just turned 19 when I went to the ER for an anxiety attack. Most of my friends stopped calling me or when they did I would tell them I didn't want to do anything because of my anxiety and they just stopped calling or trying so really it was kind of my fault but you cant help it. As I said, I am now married to my boyfriend at the time and we have a baby on the way but I still suffer from generalized anxiety disorder on a daily basis. It keeps me from working, and going back to college which keeps me from making NEW friends. When I do get better and manage to get a job and go to school I do meet new people but once my anxiety gets bad again I push them away like always. I maybe talk to 1 girl that I went to school with and was best friends with and I talk to her maybe once in a blue moon. So its very common, dont blame yourself and keep your head up because you are strong and you will get through this and make friends again soon. Good luck!

  4. Yes, i have lost friends and even lost potential friends, because people said bad stuff about me. Sorry you are going thru this too, it really sucks.

  5. I've lost many friends due to my mental illness.  They just didn't want to be around me anymore.  They changed their phone number and deleted their profiles online and just basically disappeared.

  6. who told you you have mental illness? i doubt very much any decent professional would actually give you that label. you are what you want to be, that is a good thing, if others have a problem understanding you then that is their problem, not yours. being "peculiar" does tend to make you more of a social person mainly because you are unique, these are qualities of a successful person.-blurey
