Most know Iraq was a mistake. Innocent people are dying, our brothers, sisters, husbands and wives are coming home in body bags. Kids and innocent Iraqis are in the crossfire. We spend billions in blood money, and cant take care of ourselves. Once looked up to now we are despised. Our healthcare is sickening in itself. Are you trying to change things? Do you care? Organize in schools, churches or any meeting places. Look up the facts and act. So my question is who really cares? And whos all talk.

  1. You asked this two times, so I will answer it two times.

You are wrong about this most of us stuff....

    Now you answer my question!

  2. People die in war. While I have some questions concerning our being in Iraq, we cannot simply pull out. Our health care is still the best in the world. We could greatly improve it if we got government and lawyers out of the business. We could more easily afford our own health care if we paid less taxes. I would like to see a movement toward smaller government. Eliminate the welfare state which exists in this country. We don't need the government to provide for our every need. We need to get more people off the government payroll and on the payroll of the private sector. The smaller government the less tax money we need. The more people who work in the private sector the less we all need to pay in taxes since it is divided among more people.

  3. can you say ignorant?....now find a mirror...look into it and say it again.

  4. Why do liberal feet stink?

  5. Moveon.org has organized thousands of people to sign petitions calling for troop withdrawl that were then delivered to congress and to the president.  Where I live, there is a monthly candlelight vigil where people gather to pray for peace and it is often reported on in the paper raising the level of awareness.  The church where I belong (in NJ) held a Peace Mass that was attended by many people.

I believe that this past midterm election was called by many a "referenda on the war" because many of the Democrats newly elected in the House and Senate are there largely because of their anti-war stance.  People care.

  6. I agree with flyby 100%. I would just like to add that not everybody "knows" liberating Iraq was a mistake. It may be argued that mistakes have been made; the basic Idea was not a mistake and just because revisionist  history buffs would have us believe otherwise, when the crucial votes were made the entire world down to the lowliest congressman, the U.N. security council etc. etc. voted that Saddam be removed. If GWB is as dumb as everybody seems to believe, he couldn't possibly have orchestrated all that. Saddam did need to be removed for several reasons and his own country if not the world is better off without him. Like it our not The world as a whole cannot long tolerate instability in the world supply of oil. The world will do everything necessary to ensure the supply of oil until other forms of energy are developed. Without it everything we know grinds to a halt. You can say all you want about the huge profits being made and all the injustice and I won't argue with you but the simple fact remains that oil is what makes the world go 'round. I don't like the idea of sending our troops onto harm's way any more than you do. I've earned and collected my combat pay and been there myself. War is one calamity after another. Bad things happen to innocent people. People are forced to make choices that others will consider as other than innocent. The same thing goes for countries. I'm for the interest of the U.S.A. and our allies. I'm not interested in enslaving the the world or any part of it or "exploiting" anybody. I'm for reducing our dependence on foreign oil through the production of other forms of energy. I'm not for backing down to Islamofascists. We are despised in some parts of the world and I think that's just fine. I'd be a little more concerned if we weren't despised in some parts. The fact is that no we can't all just get along. The world is made up of different philosophies and some of these philosophies are diametricallyy opposed. The world today is such a small place that none of these philosophies can exist in relative isolation as they once did. There is going to be some friction and sorting out to do whether we like it or not. Apparently today there is a philosophy that hates almost everything you hold dear including your pacifist nature. It reportedly originates with some Wahabist sect in Saudi Arabia but it doesn't stop there. It is a fairly popular philosophy in some parts outside of Saudi Arabia. They've taken the notion that its going to be their way or the highway. Personally I'll take the highway. I don't like sharia law and my hunch is you don't either. "Evil flourishes when good men do nothing." Good men have been doing nothing for far too long. Now we have a mess to clean up. I wouldn't argue that everyone involved is good because in war you make deals with the devil. For whatever the reasons are, you may think we brought it on ourselves and let's just say we did, they've decided that is us (the west) or them (the islamists). I'm rooting for us. At this point the die is cast. We can point fingers and lay blame all we want. We are in a war that we can't afford to lose so our only option is to see it through and win because the alternative is unacceptable. If you think that just bringing the boys home would bring an end to the injustice you're wrong. Did just bringing the boys home in Viet Nam end the injustice of the war? This isn't Viet Nam though. Viet Nam was part of the cold war and it didn't sit on a significant amount of oil. Even if we don't use one drop of middle eastern oil the world supply affects us. Without a secure oil supply wars would break out all over. The world economy would collapse. Like it or not we gotta have the oil and by we I mean the world. Let whoever wants to claim they despise us. They're entitled to their opinion. When the sh*t hits the fan who do they call? Who did they call this time? I'm for bringing the troops home when the job is done. Past halfway measures in which i was personally involved is what got us here. We could have headed this horse off at the pass but we didn't and now we're going to have to eat a few road apples before we get him gentled back down. It is not time to withdraw from Iraq but the day it is I'll be on your side.

  7. :Most" don't "know" that Iraq was a mistake.

    When you misquote, you lie.

Most people are not happy with the war.

That doesn't mean that they have decided to quit!

Most people aren't happy with their weight.

That doesn't mean they are going to stop eating!

You also use inflammatory words that cheapen your ideas (blood money, healthcare is sickening, despised).

People of integrity do not oppose the reasons for the conflict in Iraq.

I understand that you do not care about the fate of the rest of the world.  When you are in charge, you can watch people suffer.  Until then, you get to watch compassionate people making a positive change in the lives of the Iraqi's.

I prefer to act with integrity.

You can choose some other way.

  8. Glad not all Americans are for taking the cowards way out. The troops will come home when the job is done. Deal with it.

  9. when the job is done our troops wil come home with their heads held high. untill then stop your pathetic whining.

  10. You have your right to your opinion, but I disagree with it.

  11. Sounds like you can't take care of yourself.

Yeah, you libs organize in churches?  Laugh out loud.  They're called dens, as in witches den.  Your high holy day is Wed.

Looked up to, despised, give me a brake, you are such a drama queen Skippy.
