How many of you had hoped for a moderate Republican candidate for president in "maverick" McCain, only to see him pick someone even more conservative than George Bush as his VP choice?

  1. guess if you feel this way you are more liberal than you think.   in all actuality it was a very strategic move on the parties part.  the dems can't really go after her for not having any experience with out hurting obama.  the women will feel like they are a part of the process again so what is your problem with all of this?   mr  doodles

  2. ME!

  3. Yes. It was a letdown for me. Once again BOTH parties have managed to alienate me even more than ever before.I am no more satisfied with Palin than I am with Biden. And I am certainly not happy with either presidential candidate. So we are thrust again on the twin horns of a dilemma.

  4. We are very fired up!

  5. Well, I am one of those who believes the cup is "half full". Palin is smart, she comes from a middle class background, she is brave, she is conservative, which hopefully will carry into federal spending, AND she has a reputation for being death on corruption - and hopefully, EVERYONE is happy with that! BUT, remember you don't have to vote for either major party candidate. Why not try to get a third party into federal funding - which ought to send the correct message to BOTH major parties - hey! If you guys won't listen, there ARE other choices. The Libertarian candidate, Bob Barr, is actually pretty qualified to be President. Former Representative, worked on the Tax Commission, worked for the State Department - actually has direct and valid experience - how novel! He won't get elected, but he MIGHT get 5% of the vote - which will send a meesage we can really use in the USA.

  6. Look, McCain is really really liberal for a republican.  That's all I wanted.  I like him, I don't really care about Sarah Palin, because she's the Vice president not the president.  I'm all fired up for McCain so sorry.
