I have a feeling people wouldn't really know the answers without google. In which case I ask why the asker couldn't google themselves. ???

  1. I ususally use wikipedia.org

  2. I do it all the time. I don't want to give inaccurate advice - unless I'm confident that I know the answer.

Most of my answers are actually IN the Google category :)

  3. I do, though I use wikipedia more often ;-)

Often, I feel that the asker *could* find out themselves through Google or similar.

But sometimes, I'm not googling their question directly, but am googling something connected with their answer. Essentially, in that case, I am looking for detail and clarification on a fact I know, but which is not apparent unless you already know the answer.

Generally, I try to answer the second type of question more than the first.

Also, of course, I can give my *opinion*, which a Google search wouldn't reveal.

  4. You should have looked up the answer to this question on Google...

    Just kidding.

  5. I do that all the time.  There are tons of questions on here where all somebody has to do is google it.  ("What is the capital of ____?" etc.)  So I do it for them and get two points, sometimes 10 for a best answer.  Wah hoo :)

  6. i only answer the questions i know the answers to, but i do only ask questions that i cant find the answers to on google.

  7. Sometimes I look up answers, like a few days ago there was a question about Jan and Dean. I knew one of them was seriously injured in a car crash in the 1960s, but I didn't remember which one.

  8. I only use google when I want a question answered myself and I want it quicker than answers might give it.  I answer all questions on answer from personal knowledge, or belief, never from google.
