Why did no one ask Chevy to "tone down" their HP last year when they dominated?  Isn't it the same thing?  Or better yet, when Toyota was under powered last year why did no one want Ford GM and dodge to "tone down"?

Nobody knows that Toyota has a horsepower advantage in the Cup series. Only one test was done in the Cup series this year and that was the first Daytona race of the year. They "did" have an advantage there at Daytona.  But there is no data to prove a horsepower advantage at any other track.

NASCAR is behind on testing in the cup series. I wish they would do a test so that  we could know what the numbers are.

There is a good chance that Toyota and Chevy both has an advantage in the Cup series because they both are using new engine designs.

It'd be nice if they did, but probably won't.  Nascar is hoping that since they did the right thing in the Nationwide Series, that people will stop talking about it.  

I, however, will not.

The advantage/disadvantage will sitting behind the wheel, not underneath the hood.  Everybody wants to spout that their driver is the best (especially Shurb fans)...well lets put the cars on a level playing field and we will finally see who's the best DRIVER, not who has the best car/most HP.

Two years ago HMS did their homework on the COT and last year they were dominating.  This year...not so much.  Everyone else has caught up.

Last year was Toyota's first year in (correct?) and they didn't do so hot.  Now they're dominating.  My guess is that next year the other teams will catch up.  Oh, wait no they won't.  Like somebody already said, Toyota's R&D is far better than the other's.

Besides, if the Shrub stops winning he'll just start whining.  I'll take his wins over his whines anyday.

I am not a Toyota Fan. Nothing against them Just like Chevy. But no they should not. Toyato stunk last year and I think its because they were really working on this year instead. Chevy has a new engine coming soon and when that happens it will be one war to watch.

I don't like kyle busch or toyota but both have done well this year. I think kyle busch has always been a good driver so I don't think you could have stoped him from winning 7 races even if he was in a chevy.

What about Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin, who are not winning? If they take their horsepower away, too, will they start running midpack? Tony and Denny are great drivers, and I'm trying to figure out why they aren't doing as good this season as last. Maybe NASCAR should boost their horsepower up since they are not winning. If NASCAR tones down Toyotas horsepower in the sprint cup, it will make Tony and Denny look like mediocre drivers, when it's obvious they are not.

Something just came to me...Kyle Busch is the only Toyota winning races. Could it be he is very talented and the COT suits him better?
