  1. I found out about a month ago and I think it is the smartest and most coolest thing any "organization" has ever try to do.. it makes the world go round... I love bartering systems!

  2. I do! and i love it for the most part....ecept this one "person" had a real tude because i asked ifsome thing for a toddler if  "it was available and is it in decent condition" and because i didnt work the word please in that sentence they wrote me back saying its in good condition, I was the first to inquire. but they gave it to someone else becaue i didnt say please.....and he/she went on to say i how much of a horrible person i was.(for not saying please...sorry... really i learned my lesson)  BUT basicly...it's great but ya gotta watch out for crazies!

  3. Freecycle is a great  group in two ways. 1) it cuts down on the amount of trash in landfills, which in turn helps the environment. 2) it unites people in the same area come together helping each other by sharing, which leads to showing the better side of people. everyone ends up having more of what they need and saving money at the same time. i suggest joining immediarely, you'll enjoy the feeling of community and friendship. do you remember to treat others as you would like to be treated. follow the rules as posted on the site. clean up what you offer in a presentable manner and pick up what you are offered as soon as it is possible for you.

  4. I got three free computer monitors through it from some lady who lives 10 minutes away.  I am totally ebaying them.

  5. I know about and use it, especially around the time when college kids are moving out of their dorms and want to get rid of new stuff that not even worn out.

  6. Yes, know about it

Don't use it! Don't have my own transport!

  7. never received anything, but have given away things I don't use or need anymore.  Better than sending stuff to a landfill.

  8. Yep, I'm registered with the local one. I got rid of a wardrobe and some drawers using them. Very good scheme.

  9. I found out about Freecycle a few months ago, Wonderful site, but unfortunately it is open to abuse. I bet the same people who abuse this site also shoplift from charity shops and knock over old people for their pensions. Sad f@ckers

  10. I receive the local freecycle digest, it's a little late, but better than getting a ton of emails..

  11. Yes I know about them. Once you join up they don't leave you alone! Email after email, all containing stuff about other people rubbish!

  12. Me, sometimes I post free stuff, and I once got some exercise equipment off of there.

  13. I've been a member of my local freecycle community for about 2 years. I've participated on both sides 3 or 4 times. It's a great concept that I hope becomes more common.

  14. I do and have used it to great effect over the past 18 months. Must have got rid of at least a large skip's worth of gear that we didn't need and also picked up a few things we did, such as a new Freeview box as the people we got it from had gone Sky+.

  15. You've asked this more than once.

    Are you on commission????

  16. An excellent way of passing on and receiving things for free.

Sadly abused by some like the idiot above who is selling things on ebay - not really in the spirit of the site, shame on you.

Also if you do not want to receive lots of emails, you can change your preferences and just check the site every now and then.

Hopefully it will become more widespread.

It is lovely when someone else gets really excited about the things that you no longer need!!

  17. I do I am a member to all my local groups but must confess to not reading the emails because by the time i get them things have gone I have never got anything from one of the adverts in there.
