How many of you ladies are going to go all out for your wedding day?

I'm trying to decide if i should make it simple,but nice or more elegant.I'm not having alot of guests so our total so far comes out to 2000 bucks.Our budget is $5000.Should i just spend the whole $5000?

Its a waste of time and money. I got married in Vegas tickets, dress on amazon, chapel was less than 1000 total for both of us.

Save some money for they honeymoon and for when you return home and finish celebrating with your new husband.

it sounds like a small, peaceful and elegant. just the way i like it.  if you don't have a reason to spend an extra $3000, then don't . save it for a down payment on a house or apartment.  you can even save it for your honeymoon and go to hawaii or something.

If you have money left over, don't just try and find ways to spend it.  Save it!!!  Also, you never know what is going to come up so have a little safety net.

You know... as much as I would love to have this big blow out of a wedding, part of me thinks that weddings should be intimate and special.  I feel like our culture has gotten so far out of the way from what a wedding should really be about.  There's so much build up and priority put on the wedding, brides today tend to forget about what happens after the big day.  

So with that said, I have a budget, I'm sticking to it, and I'm not inviting anyone for the sake of inviting them.  I'm being choosy.

Wow, you're lucky that you still have so much money left over. I say don't spend it on the wedding. Keep it to use for something more important later (house, car, emergencies, etc) or upgrade your honeymoon! And now, if you find a 'must have' for your wedding, you'll be able to pay for it without worrying about the cost! Congrats and have fun

I would suggest not spending more. You'd be surprised how many things you discover you forgot about just prior to the wedding.

If you're happy with the things you have bought with 2k, then don't spend more. If you want more, then buy more, since you have the money for it. Money isn't the object, it's what will make the best memories for you!

When I get married, I plan on spending as little money as possible.  I plan on keeping it simple and mostly casual with the reception likely being potluck or a catered BBQ.  Only close friends and family.

if you are happy with what you have right now and cleverly went under budget...then save the rest of the budget...im spending 22 grand on my wedding and wish it was way under 20 grand.  because of the 200 guests, economy and location of my wedding, it seems like everything is costing more money than usual...any way you shouldnt spend more than you need to:)...but yes, i am going all out for my wedding.

I always wanted a Wedding fit for a Princess. It is up to you and what u like! It is your money just make sure you are spending it for you and not to please others!
