I'm sure all men including a happily married guy would.

Not me.  I'm still old-fashioned that way.  I'm still in love, though I'm not getting married for 2 more months yet..

On the other hand, I'm a terrible liar and I have a highly developed sense of honor.  The guilt would be more than I could stand.  I can say that I have never cheated on any girlfriend.  Never once, despite the "right opportunity."

Edit - Oh, and Kellie, before you just blame the men, who do you think they are cheating with?  Very often married women!  They don't expect a commitment and they have just as much interest in keeping the affair quiet. (According to a friend who has cheated)

All people are different.  Some would...some wouldn't.

I am one who wouldn't...period.  There's a lot more to a relationship than s*x and I wouldn't throw it all away for a moment of sexual excitement.  That's pretty shallow and shows a total lack of respect.  If I ever had the urge, I'd end the relationship before I would hurt my wife.

Why would you think that he is lying? Not all men are like that. They would not throw away the life that they have for s*x that they can get at home. The selfish ones that only care about themselves will and the ones that will not be faithful no matter what. You cannot stereotype all men. Just you like you can't stereotype all women as whores that want to sleep with married men.

My husband had many times and opportunities to cheat on me and he never did and I know it.. I had many guys tell me I must be someone VERY special because he is one of the few guys that never did . He actually told me about a few times some cute chicks tried to pick him up even when he was drunk but he never even thought about it...He told me he could never do something that he didn't expect me to do in return. We made a vow 32 yrs ago and so far so good and I know many guys that would tattle on him if they could.. So I know I am not blind and I would even understand how easy it can happen but I would have no reason to doubt his faithfulness. Thank God for faithful , loving husbands and wifes. Their still are some around in this day and age..

What makes you think YOUR view of the world is so right that you can say any man would cheat "cause he is a man after all". What has happened in your life to color your world so darkly? In my world, I know that some men do cheat but I also know that many men do not. It's not that they are lying - they just really do have a conscience. I'm sorry you live in such a deceptive world. Maybe you'll have better luck next time!

It's a matter of "can I get away with this"

and the right circumstances for it to happen

"I would never cheat on my wife" means the right circumstances have never been there

I would never cheat on my wife. That's not what you do if you truly love someone unconditionally, which is possible even in this day and age.

I suppose based on the perception that average male is a dog just ready to betray their spouses through your perception all men would cheat.  But, I highly doubt this as there are some guys who are truly happily married and do not need the satisfaction of cheating on their wife.  However you're entitled to your opinion.

first you haven't found your soul mate because you wouldn't be saying this. believe me everyone  has a soul-mate out there. i guess you just haven't found yours and when you due you are going to feel awful. i fill sorry for all the woman out there who might find you if you don't change. because you will never be happy in a relationship.
