How many of you parents out there have a myspace account?

Question

If the answer is yes - do you post pictures of your child/children on your account? If so, is your page public or private?

I have a myspace and I have hundreds of pics of Johnny on my page, but my page is also private so only the people I accept as my 'friend' can see them.

Opinions on this subject? And please, don't turn this into an argument, all opinions are welcome! :)

I do, I had one long before Eli was born.  I have a lot of pictures on there of my whole family, including Eli.  And no, it's not private.   I guess I am not the type to get nervous about stuff like that....maybe I should?!??  LOL.  I am proud of my bay-bay and can't help but share his cuteness with the world ;)

Yes i do have  my space account and no i dont post pics of us or the kids... the reason being is their are too many pedophiles out there and i am afraid someone would want to harm my children or oggle over them... I have a public account but only because i dont have hardly anyone on the account and i very rarely check it ... If your account is private then i think it would be ok, but i would be selective on friends u are letting in as some may be decieving...

JUST MAKE UR PROFILE PUBLIC ... nd make your pictures to where only your "friends" can see them so that if a stranger looks on your page.... they'll see all of what you want them to see.....

and your pics will only be viewed by your frens.

Should I not take my daughter out in public because people will see her? Yes I have a myspace, Its private. Honestly I dont think It matters..I think we are at more risk of peado's in the outside world than over the net. Most people are abused by family members, I think their is a one in a million chance of a peado seeing your kids pics and actually tracking them down.

Yep I have Myspace and I have 400+ pictures of my son on there. My page itself is public, but my albums are private so only friends can see them. I don't believe in letting every random human being on the face of the earth see my child.

i have a myspace, i have pic's of my son on it and i don't have it set to private. i don't have any problems with people seeing pictures of my son, i don't have any info up that i'd be worried about other people seeing.

Yes, I have a Myspace.  I do have pictures of my children, but my entire page is private and my photo albums are also private.  My profile pic is of my sons, but it doesn't show their faces (actually, its the same one I have as my profile pic on here).  I feel like its safe.  I don't include my last name in any of the information.  I don't give their birthdays or my birthdays to anyone.  I don't give specifics about where I'm "located"..... I feel like I'm using it in the safest way possible.

Since my husband is in the military, Myspace has been the perfect way to keep in touch with friends and family since we are moving all over the place.  My mom even has one!  Its also a fun hobby to mess around with while the kids are napping.  I even created a fan page for my favorite NASCAR driver.  Its like running my own website without having to know all that computer programming mumbo-jumbo. lol

I only have friends and family as friends on my page.  I do not approve random people and I don't approve bands or anything like that.  Although I don't include too much information about my husband and my children, I don't want ANY of the information falling into the wrong hands, so I'm careful about what I post and I never let strangers see it.

My sisters, mom, dad, and most of my family and friends have one so I use it as a way to keep them updated on my son. I actually post a blog and I add new pictures about once a week or so. I do keep it private and I am selective about who I add. My husband made me promise when I made it that I would never add anyone that I hadn't met in person. I have to be pretty careful because of my job.

I have a Myspace account and, yes, do have pictures of Noah up. However mine is also private so only friends and family can see it. I also have it to where you need to know my e-mail address or full name to add me.

I have a few friends that live in Hawaii, some in North Carolina, family in Florida, and family in Iowa. So they don't all get to see Noah on a regular basis. This is my reasoning for having pictures of him up.

I have 1, but I'm in the entertainment industry.  My page is set to private, and I DO NOT intend on posting any pics of my baby on there.  I have almost 2000 friends, and I definitely don't know 2000 people.  My boyfriend is in the music business, and doesn't want any pics of our baby on our myspace pages either.  I think in our case it's the best thing to do, but if your page is private and your only friends are people that you actually know then go for it.  I love going on my friend's pages and seeing pics of their growing babies.

Yes I have a myspace however I don’t use it all that often. I initially signed up because I live in another state, and this was the greatest way for me to find long lost college friends, high school friends, etc. I love it for that sole purpose!

I do have pictures up of my son as well as my stepdaughter. Nothing is in wrongful context and my page is also private so that only my friends can view my photos. And the only people that I allow to be my “friend” are family members and close friends. Otherwise, if I don’t know you, you aren’t going to see photos of my beautiful children.

People should really calm down on issues such as this. What you may do for YOUR child may very well be okay for you. But not everyone believes the same things and we’re all entitled to do as we please….

My husband and I both have one with a millions pictures. Ours our public but we mainly have them so friends and family can see the pictures and so we can keep in touch with old/new friends.

I have a Myspace and a Facebook...I had never heard of it until my younger brother's kept telling me about it...then one day I heard someone say something about it on the radio and it peeked my interest...I went home and looked it up and thought, what the h**l, let my try....my younger brother over messenger helped me set it up and I have been hooked ever since...this was when I was 25 and pregnant with my 2nd child...4yrs later, I am hooked but mostly use it to talk and share pics with my family and friends...I have a brother in NC, a cousin in LA, a cousin in AL, my younger brothers are away to college...my cousin who lives in IL and so forth....it helps us keep in touch and share things on a daily basis...even if its just to say hi. I had my page on private but then decided not too due to the fact that I have some family out there that may search for me and would not know its me if not looking at my page...I do have my pics and blogs on private though.......I did however just put some pics of my kids on my actual page but I am not worried about stalkers cause my kids could win an award and have their pic in the newspaper and more people would see that pic that the one on my myspace....

i have a myspace and i also have millions of pics of jayden since he was born lol mines is also private and i mainly just have my old friends form highschool hey i even have a few from elementary school i also have family members it nice to keep in touch and see ure pics of how much u change and of ure family atleast thats just what i think lol but my cousin also has one and we alsways post pics of our kids she has a daughter and i love seing how much she has grown since i dont see them verry often!

I have a myspace acct, and I love it. Mine is public, I don't see a problem with posting pics of my kids online, I feel it's highly unlikely someone will be stalking me on myspace lol. I make mine public so that people that I haven't seen in a long time can see what I have been doing and how beautiful my children are! Feel free to add me if you want more friends!

I have one, but I am lame, the only friends I have on there are all family :). My account is public because I haven't figured out a way to make it private yet, and I only have one picture (I really am not on there much) of my children on my page so I am not overly concerned about the safety of it. I will be adding more pictures and making it private once I have the time to figure it out and download them (I still have dial-up....it takes forever).
