Question:

How many of you plan on going "Full r****d" this weekend at Tropic Thunder?

The word r****d is used more than 15 times in the film which has propmpted Special Olympics, the American Association of People with Disabilities and other disability rights groups to call for a boycott.

What’s truly ludicrous is that not only are they now planning a boycott, but they’re going to lobby Congress for a resolution condemning the movie for the use of hate speech. That’s right, calling your buddy a “retard” is now hate speech. - Josh Tyler / Cinemablend.com

  1. I think the whole boycott is pointless. They're not making fun of the person, they're making fun of actors who take roles like that to get nominations. People are too ******* sensitive. I'm sick of hearing it. All they're doing is giving the movie more spotlight. Hate speech, really?

  2. I'll be dressing up as Corky and enjoying it from my harness in the back row!

  3. well thats just retarded.        OH MY GOD       first off i hate about half the people in the world now i think and the only right the government has is to protect are rights and that has nothing too ****** do with protecting our rights.

  4. When I was a kid I would have gotten my mouth slapped if I used bad language. This is now missing from home life so...society tries to make up by policing free speech. It just shows how people have gone down hill. I'm sure when our forefathers wanted free speech they never knew we would sink to such a low class society.

  5. What's gonna be "retarded" is how many people are gonna go see that movie only because of the boycott.

    Boycott = Profit

    Who's the r****d now?

  6. I think you have to simply use good judgement- my gut feeling tells me that the term "r****d" doesn't go over well at all, and I've never used it. I don't need congressional laws to tell me that such a term is derogatory- I can sense it automatically, and I've never had anything to do with people who are mentally retarded/mentally ill/mentally challenged.
