I'm thinking if any goaltender was robbed of the Vezina, it was probably Chris Osgood.

I think the entire Hockeytown population would agree with me on that.

Sorry, but you show me a better goalie in the league than Brodeur.. come on.. He single handedly led the Devils to the playoffs. ON a team that was near dead last in scoring YET won  46 games? Of which he won 44.

If thats NOT due to goaltending than YOU tell me why the Devils were second in their division?

And you can't say it was all defense. Their defense was not that great this year. At least not compared to past Devils teams.

Brodeur won it, and he should have won it. Nabokov had a good season, and his GAA and wins were better than Brodeur's (not by much), but his SV% was much lower than Brodeur's. And personally, I think SV% is a more precise statistic when it comes to measuring a goalie's performance.

LITY: Osgood for the Vezina? Noooooo way...

btw, I also like to say that stats don't tell the whole story, and they certainly don't. Nabokov played for a really good team full of all-stars, while Brodeur played for a really sucky team who would have finished last if it weren't for him.

he deserved that, and stats dont mean everyhtin, nabby won in wins(i see that as a team stat and marty was 2 behind) shutouts, and goals against average.  However, the one that relates to the goalie the most is sv%, which nabby was .001(literally) above the league average and marty beat him. the teams in front of them proved how these stats dont tell all
