How many of you think my husband owes me a day off?

My husband is out of town for work until Thursday. He left yesterday morning. So far since yesterday I have endured at least 4 poopy diapers from my 7 week old that have gone up and out the diaper and all over what ever she was sitting in, making for lots and lots of laundry and two bathes for her in the last 36 hours :) She's a little p**p factory sometimes!

How many of you think I get a day off from diaper duty this weekend when he gets home? :)

  1. I definitely think you need a day off, even though he was away at work, being a mother is also work and you can't just take a break from it when ever you want to. I think you deserve that weekend of rest.

  2. I do!! Tell him we voted and he lost!

  3. hey, I do!!  :-)  He has to share the wealth!

  4. In our family we have a "finders-keepers" rule about dirty diapers.

Admittedly one of us seems to "find" substantially fewer diapers (I won't say which one).

  5. i do... :)

  6. Maybe not a day off

But he should get a baby sister and take you out, twice an month, no children

You should also be thankful you have a husband, mine died when my daughter was two

  7. My husband used to leave it all to me when our girls were little. Before my youngest was born, I was at home with my 2 year old and 2 month year old. I was chaning the little one's nappy on the changing mat in the toilet, went to get more nappies, and when I got make my 2 year old had 'tidied up' her sister. See, when  I finished with the chaning mat I would put it under the sink, so Fiona pushed Emma- on the changing mat, under the sink I had such a panic I made my husband change their nappies for a month!!

  8. Sounds reasonable to me.  My wife and I have raised three boys, and I can assure you that diaper duty has been shared.

  9. Yep everytime your baby needs a diaper change just hand him the baby with a diaper and wipes.  Don't ask or say anything just hand it to him.

  10. I am a stay at home mommy to a special needs toddler and a 10 month old. My husband works hard so that I can stay at home with my babies. When he is home I try and make his life as easy as I can. He has to go to work for us so it is the least I can do for him. Yes, being a mother is hard....there are no days off, though!!! Give your hubby a neck-rub when he gets home. He deserves it.

  11. Yes, time for "daddy duty" lol. I remember those poopy days, and your right...it's a mess! lol....once more for us coming this Dec. My husband is on diaper duty for the most part if he's home. 10-14hr shifts, different shift everyday...Between him working and sleeping, I think it's fair to change a diaper when he's here and able.

  12. Sure, you deserve a lot more, maybe a massage too....

momtotwogirls:  blah blah blah, oh please, give me a break with that answer!

  13. Welcome to motherhood. You should have thought about that before having babies.

Sorry its not the answer you wanted to hear.

  14. Yes! Get a couple friends and go to the spa lol.

  15. i do...he lost and yet again the woman win. hah

  16. the women have spoken ... " DAY OFF WHEN HUBBY GETS HOME !!!! "

  17. I dont know about a day off but sounds like you need a trip to a jewelry store. Diamonds the size of Volkswagons sound like a nice reward for the green "goo".
