How many of you thought Degrassi was an American show the first time you watched it?

I've spoke to a lot of people who assumed it was made in the US just curious.

not me i've been watching degrassi since it was called the kids of degrassi street over 25yrs ago. i've always known it was a candadian show. i remember when spike got pregnant w/ little emma.

i thought it was american the first time i watched it but i looked at the ending and saw that it was canadian

Yup I thought that too!! I wish they were filmed here in the US!! Oh and do you know that show life with derek or something? I think its filmed in either the same studio or set or something because alot of their cast is on degrassi and some of the degrassi actors play on life with derek like Lauren Collins (Paige), Shane Kippel (Spinner), and the purple dragon leader.

i thought it was a US show until my sister told me it was Canadian. i LOVE Degrassi

Yea I thought it was until I heard them say certain words, like so and sorry. Canadiens have a distinct accent.

What?!?!  Its not an american show???  I always thought it was....  I could tell spinner was canadian but wow....  i watch it all the time and I never knew lol.
