It can, but I only wash my hair every other day, though, so I don't really have that problem. You can try another one of their products, though, that just strips your hair of everything and allows for your natural oils to kick-start every week. I'll have to get back to you with the name, but I'm pretty sure it's to be used once a week. Pantene has a wax-type ingredient in it which doesn't actually hydrate your hair, but it does make it very shiney! You just got to make the choice of shiney or hydrated hair! Good luck!

Don't use pantene! its full of gunk so it can be thick and creamy! clear see-through shampoo has like, half as much build-up because it doesn't need all that gunk to keep it 2gether, and, it can smell just as good

i used to use it but then i found out it has like this wax kinda stuff in it that does build up on your hair so yeahh but it still smells good! lol

haha i use beautiful lengths. i LOVE it . my hair has already grown. it makes my hair soooo soft. ok this is gonna sound horrible and know that i LOVE animals. but...i dont care if they test on animals because there is already an overpopulation of animals. those animals probobaly wouldn't get to go to a nice place they would be sent to a shelter and probably put down. BUUTT i love pantene back to the point lolz

My hair stylist told me that Pantene shampoo has a certain kind of wax in it that builds up on your hair shaft (not the scalp) and it actually clogs your hair cuticle. It basically kills your hair slowly. People who use Pantene for an extended time can actually experience hair loss.

And, despite what someone said earlier, it doesn't matter if the shampoo is clear or creamy in color or consistency. Usually when a shampoo is creamy that means it's moisturizing.

I would definitely suggest you use something other than Pantene. My hair stylist said that the best non-professional (meaning, not sold in a salon) brands are Infusium, Dove, and Tresemme. Also, don't buy any salon brands from any place that isn't a salon! Brands such as Paul MItchell, Nexxus, Matrix, TiGi (Bedhead), and others do not authorize the sale of their products outside the salon. So the products in the drugstore or grocery store are not guaranteed. They may contain harmful bacteria or be watered down. Just FYI.

I use Pantene Ice Shine.

I've been using it for a while and I haven't experienced that... although a tip many people offer is to not put conditioner on your roots because it weighs it down.. buildup maybe? One of the answerers said clear shampoo and the ice shine is clear so yeah.
