hahaha once me and my friends dialed a random number pretending to sell stupid stuff and once we accidently called the prison lol..that was freakyy,.

My favourite goes back well over a decade now.  I called a load of people from the phone book who had, shall we say, "unfortunate" surnames.  I told them that I was the manager of a local famous department store and that they had won a prize in a random prize draw.  I told them that their details had been recorded every time they, or their spouse had paid by cheque, debit or credit card in the last six months - I was pretty sure this would cover 99% of the population.

Anyhow, I had them all agree to arrive at the store on Monday morning to claim their prize - a Sony Walkman (told you it was a while ago).  I told them to ask for me, the manager - Mr Michael Jordan (basketball wasn't that well followed in the UK in those days, so I could slip it in without it sounding too obvious).

So on Monday morning, I went to the store and watched them turn up - Mr Pratt, Mr Willy, Mr Pigg, Mr Bottomly etc. and demand a free Sony Walkman from Michael Jordan.  

Mayhem!

These days my activities are curtailed to when my wife goes away - she doesn't like me making prank calls.

I did a few times when I was a kid.  The funniest were probably when I pretended to be the police.

A couple of years ago at a halloween party we rang up the popular kids in our year who were also at a different party and pretended to be a lunatic and then again a lunatic asylum looking for them it was so funny the lunatic spoke in weird french with a scottish accent it was hilarious.

Used to ring up Hastings Direct & Kitchens Direct (they're 0800 numbers so it's all free).

Funniest one was when I did my Prince Charles impression. Told them I had a silver Bentley & a gold Roll's Royce that needed insurance. I got put through and everything but didn't understand some of the details they wanted from me.

My sister and I entertained ourselves one whole summer prank calling this one boy and his family... it was sooo much fun. They ended up changing their number and that's when the fun stopped :(

I did. I knew who the person was and i lied i was their girlfriend and that i was preggers. haha that always makes me laugh.

I used to do it when I was a kid as well, I kept on going on about 'do you know where sausage road is?' and weird c**p like that.

The one time I prank called the cops then put the phone down but they traced it back and my dad picked up, he denied it because he didn't know I done it but I never did it again after that.

the best numbers were those ones where you would just dial any random numbers and see who picks up..
