Question:

How many of you will be watching the next Kimbo Slice fight?

I feel that with all this controversy behind Kimbo's "win" in the CBS EliteXC show, people will be more inclined to watch Kimbo's next fight (and his subsequent fights). Even though a lot of MMA fans dislike him, they'll tune in just to wait to see him lose. So, this whole Kimbo controversy is doing more good than bad for Kimbo and EliteXC. What do you think?

  1. You are right !!!

  2. absolutely ill be watching. I dont think he'll lose his next fight either, whoever he will be fighting

  3. I'd watch if Kimbo fought a worhty opponent, not some can. Sure he's got power but if he actually fought someone with skills? That'd be a fight worth watching.

  4. Honestly im a HUGE fan of the man... he's the baddest dude alive i think.

As far as controversy affecting his popularity i'd have to say that will most definately be the case, i've noticed that since saturday night more and more people are doubting his ability and YES they will watch just to see him (hopefully) lose.

I don't see that as a good quality in those people but what can ya do? Kimbo's becoming successful and in this day and age that breeds jealous and envy more than ever.

Im just very excited to see how he will grow as a fighter and to see his spectacular knockouts that will come in the future.

Kimbo is, as 1 way of putting it, humble but ready to rumble and has a great attitude. I believe that most of the people that want to see him fail are really just not cool people and i hope he continues to disappoint them for years to come.

I'm also not gonna lie but i think his color also generates hatred. Racism is a pitiful, disgusting thing that saddens me.

KEEP HATIN ALL YOU KIMBO HATERS!!!

  5. There is a rumor that Gary Shaw is working to sign Mike Tyson and there could be a possible Kimbo vs Tyson fight

  6. I am a purest so I am not a fan of ANYONE IN MMA BUT I WILL WATCH KIMBO AGAIN  how many of us get a chance to make millions and have no talent Kimbo is the man only in America. i WANT TO SEE WHO THE PUT HIM IN THERE WITH NEXT TIME BECAUSE THEY CAN,T GO BACKWARDS kIMBO SLICE IS ON THE EXPRESS LANE TO A KNOCK OUT  HE HAD A TOUGH FIGHT LAST TIME OUT AND IF THEY GIVE HIM ANOTHER FIGHT LIKE THAT kIMBO WILL NOT LIKE THE SPORT ANYMORE REGARDLESS OF THE MONEY YOUR LIFE IS MORE IMPORTIAN THAN THE MONEY

  7. Yes I will watch it. I love Kimbo. So what he got tested. He has to to get better. I'm sure his next fight will be a test also. Give him a year or two more and he will be a force..

  8. Yes. I'll watch because I like Kimbo. Others will watch because they hate him, and others will watch out of curiosity.

  9. I agree.

  10. I'd watch, I thought the fight was interseting, kimbo was a beast besides his ground game,  I think hes a good guy to push as there star, sorta lame they had him vs a jobber essentially, and the ear thing was a lil bogus, but whatchagonnado

I'd like to see him vs lesner, I bet kimbo would whoop him

and I just gotta add, kimbo slice, BEST NAME EVER

  11. Elite xc is a sham!

That fight was bullshit, how in the h**l does kimbo get allowed to eat 30 seconds straight of unanswered blows to the head compleatly undefended ,and then thompson gets wobbled but stays on his feet and loses!

I will only p2p view his next fight, ain't worth national coverage! It's a joke to have him as a premeir fighter in their league!!

    s. smith  vs r lawler was good til ref ****** the fight!!

But my props to Urijah Faber he is a  Badass Dude!!( WEC june 1st)(WEC has real talent and a much better show production!)

    Sacramento !!!! Makin noise!!!!

  12. I can't wait.  Kimbo is Da Man!!!

  13. Can't wait to see more. Imagine what it will be like when he finally loses and he WILL lose. He needs more stamina, training, and ground game.

  14. I, like most everyone with a shred of curiousity in them, will continue to watch Kimbo Slice fight.  Sure he's a one-dimensional fighter, but EliteXC's talent pool is extremely shallow.

Of course WEC and UFC have the best talent in the business, they're both owned by Zuffa.  You'll start seeing a lot of the UFC and WEC talent mixing and matching on fight cards.

Kimbo Slice is the modern day Mike Tyson of MMA.  People will disagree with me, but in all honesty, if Mike Tyson were to step in the boxing ring today, there are few people who wouldn't tune in to watch.  It's all about ratings and public interest.  As long as EliteXC keeps Kimbo on top, people will tune in to see how far he will go "undefeated".

  15. Someone said Kimbo would 'whup' Brock Lesner? Gimme a break. Kimbo was ready to have a coronary after 2 rounds. I'll bet Lesnar doesn't puff on the smokes like Kimbo. Plus Lesnar was a collegiate wrestling champion. He'd destroy Slice on the ground.

  16. I agree, that last fight left an assurance that the next one will bring a much larger audience. Both Kimbo fans, and Anti Kimbo fans who will watch hoping he will lose.

I like Kimbo myself, but he needs a lot of work on his ground and take down skills. The fight against Thompson proved he has a long way to go before he could compete against anyone in the UFC with a chance to win.

  17. he is like any celeb cross over or people's choice from nowhere. They will milk the publicity for all it is worth with c**p opponents until the crowds demand a tough opponent.

Then he will either turn out good enough to win, and continue from there.

Or get wiped out and return to nowhere-ville forever.

Not sure why people are so upset about the thompson fight .They looked like what they are-a couple of musclemen novices.

I just edited this post after seeing .43 of the first round. make that complete beginners. That is terrible quality skill.
