I'm wearing a specially ordered pair of low top chuck taylors at my wedding. Additionally, all four girls in the wedding will be wearing them as well. Just curious how many women have worn them with their wedding dresses.

  1. Honestly, I find wearing Chuck Taylor's at a wedding distasteful. You're in your best clothes, it's a very adult step to be taking, and you're wearing sneakers? Sorry.

  2. My SiL wore Keds, not Chuck Taylors. They were pretty much the focus of the wedding... She didn't want to wear dress shoes. It worked for her!

  3. I have known for the guys to change into custom made Air Force Ones or Jordans but not the women. I think it is a great idea if it reflects you or your personal style!

  4. I don't know about any women wearing them, but one of my best friends got married this past may and her fiance and all his grooms men wore them.

  5. Seriously, those are ugly. If I was a bridesmaid in your wedding I would so be burning those afterwards and secretly hating you for making me wear such hideous shoes.

  6. no i didn't wear them to my wedding or anyone Else's wedding  and honestly i don't think you should either that's just plain old ghetto but hey to each his own right i mean i wore flats to my wedding and felt bad but that was only because i injured myself

  7. I know this is geared more towards the ladies, but you girls have to check this out. I was a best man in a wedding a couple years ago, and we all wore matching black and White Chucks.. the only difference between ours was the Groom's laces were bleached white, and the rest of us wore black laces. Of course we all wore the traditional tuxedo, but the high top Chucks were a nice touch. Even at the reception, nobody really noticed, but it was all something we had agreed upon.. Oh, and by the way, the preacher wore white Chucks. The bridal party wore their typical heels, and nobody said a word.

Back years ago, i wore my famous "Stars and Stripes" Chucks to my senior prom along with my tuxedo... and it wasn't that long ago.. '96. Those were the ones where the shoe is red and white striped, and the tongue is blue with white stars, and yes, twelve years later, i still have them, and i'm currently wearing them.

  8. I love this!!!! Your wedding is your day and should reflect your personality, no matter how unique or quirky it is !!

I am getting married in 3 weeks myself, and i'll be wearing a pair of tall white Doc Martens boots underneath my dress, while my bridesmaid are all going to wear the same boots, but in cherry red, to match their dresses.

It makes me happy to see other people let their individuality flow ^^

Congrats on your special day !!!

ps. one more reason why Chucks and Docs are awesome wedding shoes... comfortable!!!!! I will not have sore feet on the dance floor, and neither will you and your girls!!!!

plus, i think it'll make some great pictures!!!
