I think it is an important question and should reflect exactly where we are as a country and as a government. How many of you really would be willing to work on a solution to our country's problems with a member of another party and do it without prejudged assumptions but rather on the idea that it needs to get done together?

This should be interesting on responses........

  1. I would absolutely love to work with anyone who has our country's best interests at heart.  I think there is so much that we can learn from each other if we are open to hearing it.  I despair at times that the level of rhetoric has fallen so low that both sides have stooped to the most base and vile comments about the other side without anyone seeming to feel that the comments are out of line.  The lack of civility shown by both sides inhibits forward movement.

  2. A willingness to work with others has been taught since I was a kid, and I have worked with people of all political ideologies, cultures and many other differences.  That's what people who want to achieve do.

  3. I could not be willing to do that. If I worked for a campaign I didn't personally believe in, I would be a traitor to myself, and building a mission to hurt my causes and values.

  4. I don't have time to respond the way I would like - but I just wanted to say this is a fantastic question and I look forward to reading what others have to say.

  5. Two members from different parties could easily work together to achieve a common goal. If the elected officials are working for the people, which they are, working together should not be a problem. I think many times ego gets in the way, such as Obamas refusal to admit the surge worked and give our military credit for giving the iraqi people the freedom they deserved.

  6. I would I was rasied that it is a give and take the more you give the more you take

  7. I served in Central America in the early/mid 1980s.  The Democrats endangered myself and the soldiers I led in the interest of partisan political gain.

I served in Iraq in 2004.  The Democrats endangered myself and my soldiers in the interests of partisan political gain.

Just about every time I have had to put my life on the line in the service of our nation - the Democrats served as cheerleaders for the enemy.

  8. I am an independent American, not a mindless party lemming.

I am willing to work with anyone that has the best interest of the USA at heart.

  9. ME! It's really horrible when we, as the UNITED States, aren't acting together. Same thing for other countries. We should all get along and listen to each other. I personally don't think it's hard.
