I would though, it's stopped here now and I am SO in the mood for a p**s up!!

  7. We did! Saw our friend Simon Waggott at the Victoria Vaults on Nunnery Lane in York and his pal Alistair Griffin came by to mooch with him and friends in their brilliant Jazz night! Alistair was a finalist in some strange thing on tv last year, singing or something which might resemble it. Actually tonight he let rip and the lad has a fantastic voice when he uses it correctly, far too often today they are as flat as pancakes and that is their pitch! Rubbish! Tonight, Alistair, Simon and he others were fantastic! I just hope tomorrow night at Ronnie Scotts is as good with Tom Scott and Paulette McWilliams!

  8. I braved the rain and fought my way out of Tesco for it.Rain before Tesco every time.

  9. My old man never misses, rain or shine, and his excuses for going become ever-more 'creative'; tonight he went to 'escape' the BB9 eviction finale, yesterday, he needed to 'unwind' after a long drive! He could write a self- help book of '1001 reasons to visit the pub'. I guess when he finally runs out of excuses, he'll get a dog so he can take it for 'walkies' past the pub, or become a boozy jogger..... i don't know. Men. Wouldn't our lives be dull without them...?!
