  1. There are 3 functions of the skeletal system one is to support the shape of your body, to protect the organs and to help with movment of musles. The skeleton system protects the brain, liver, heart and lungs.

    2. Vertebral Column: protects the spinal cord and helps to support the weight of the body, transmitting that weight to the lower limbs.

    3. Rib Cage: give shape to the chest and support and protect the body's major organs, such as the heart and lungs

    4. Pectoral Girdle: allows for a wide range of shoulder motions
