Question:

How many other Indians have stopped wasting time on following cricket like me?

We take cricket so seriously and those 11 bunch of careless freaks shamelessly keep on losing important matches.

Bowlers bowled carelessly against Pakistan in Kitply cup final.

And batsmen did the same in Asia cup final.

And these guys have no shame in losing these matches. Why should they be unhappy?

Whether the team wins or loses, they will get there money.

We don't get the money, so why should we switch off our lives and switch on tv sets to watch these shameless guys ruining our country's name?

  1. India's biggest problem is that players tend to get over-confident after a couple of wins and this leads to an over-hyped morale that ends up getting to their head and the performance goes out the window. And then as you mentioned there is the money factor. Once a player has what it takes to make it in the international arena, endorsements start flowing in and once middle class boy becomes a wealthy upper middle class man.

BCCI now doubt throws a lot of money into training and bringing foreign coaches, therapists and providing good facilities and training but it's ultimately upto the players to perform which doesn't happen very often.

You are right in saying that we shouldn't be wasting time on these players but then we are the ones who gave them their demi god status.

But again here is the other side of the equation as I look at it. If India starts winning and starts dominating like the Aussies what's the fun in that. I like to watch competition and my team being either the equal of the other team or the under dog. This makes for a good contest and I support my team better. But let's not get carried away.

India players need to pull themselves together and perform. Aussies and South Africans and English players all have endorsements but they perform because it's ultimately the game of cricket that is getting them endorsements not their rock star looks or scandals. We also need to make sure we don't put the burden of expectations on these players. We want clear and focused heads. They need guidance and BCCI needs to do something about it rather than minting all that money.

But I would not stop watching cricket. After all where is all the fun if India keeps on winning. There have to be some losses to keep it interesting.

    But good question and points.

  2. Sorry but i can't stop supporting my team just bcoz they lost some matches..... they are King of are HEART.SO GO INDIA GO.........................................

  4. Games are not meant to be followed

games are games and mostly pre-decided so why to follow and waste the time.

OK for fun sake you can just watch them or giving company thats all otherwise even in grounds people go to come on TV you can see yourself as soon as it focuses any body that particular person starts shaking his hand or want to attract your attention. Girls are more interested in doing this.

  9. No no no

You can't stop being passionate about cricket. You just can't. It's part of your culture, it's in your genes, for cryin out loud. Just take a deep breath and be patient.

    Please.

There may be global warming and war in the middle east, there may be a meteor headed straight for the planet earth and gigantic volcanoes about to erupt, it's okay though. We can survive all that. but if Indians start turning their backs on cricket we're really in trouble.

  10. i never followed it!!!

  11. I've been disapointed that India brush through the first stages of a series or tournement and loses the final badly but that doesn't stop me from supporting and watching India play. I have to keep supporting India. The game is not about winning and losing it's about how hard you try. In the recent  test match series agaisnt Astrailia It was 1-1 with one match to go there was one over remaining and india had one wicket left and they coudn't hold on now there bare two reasons why you shouldn't be angry with India and not watch cricket again

    A. they were tail enders batting

    B. I think three wickets which were given out was actually very silly decions.

I was  SO angry with the umpires but that didn't make not want to watch cricket again.

so all in all the answer to your question was

    NO

  12. No, you don't stop supporting your team just because you lose a match or two. I have supported my country for many years through thick & thin, but never gave up on them. It's like, giving up on life just because winter comes! lol, Have faith

  13. i have stopped following it like the way i used to do before, since i came to know about betting stuffs, I watch it like a wwe match or a bollywood movie, in which any jerk things could happen.

  14. Like you I too have stopped wasting time following cricket.

Instances of Indian team winning matches(especially finals) have reduced and so has my interest in cricket

  15. why i west my time to watch such type of poor play & such salfish plyers those not plying for our country.

  16. Sorry but i can't stop supporting my team just bcoz they lost some matches..... I love cricket and i love my INDIAN CRICKET TEAM too! And India has the potential, they just 've to be consistent!

  17. Did u think the same when these guys only won the T20 world cup - Did u feel the same when they won in Australia - Well we Indians have a typical nature of criticising when they lose and praise when they win - its difficult to understand one thing -we can talk many things sitting at home -but when it comes to the ground - I don't think non of us can do it as they are doing it- well at times things does not work and they lose it. But its the second time in a short span losing in the final - that boys should improve in reading the srilankan attack.

  18. to be honest , after watching IPL/20-20 cricket, one day cricket seems to be boring...i watch if people like sehwag/yuvraj are hitting...otherwise it gets boring

  19. Sorry, I can`t follow you.

  20. You are taking this a bit too seriously.  It's a game played by other people and you shouldn't take it so personally.

  21. i was very disappointed why they cant take teams apart like they promised to after the winter tourney

but you have to realize this is a learning processes and hopefully all this experience will help them get better

    .

  22. there r many ways to waste time......

.cricket is just one of them.....
