to enable them to forgive? According to Christianity the blood of Jesus, a human sacrifice was the only way their God could enable himself to forgive us. Only the blood of Jesus in a sacrifice could work.

Being all powerful could not forgive UNLESS he used a human sacrifice.

So, how many other blood cults have a God like that?

  1. Christianity is based on ancient Paganism. Many ancient religions required sacrifices.

Thumbs down me if you want; it won't change the truth. I encourage all open-minded, intelligent individuals to visit this site:

" Heaven, h**l, prophecy, daemon possession, sacrifice, initiation by baptism, communion with God through a holy meal, the Holy Spirit, monotheism, immortality of the soul, and many other "Christian" ideas all belonged to earlier, older Pagan faiths. They were simply part of ancient Mediterranean culture. Along with miracle working sons of God, born of a mortal woman, they were common elements of pre-Christian Pagan religion. Mithras had 'em. So did Dionysus, Attis, Osiris, and Orpheus. And more.

And they had them generations—centuries— before Jesus was a twinkle in Saint Paul's eye."

  2. Jesus Christ is God; John 1:2-3; 17;5.

Jesus died on a cross; John 12:27

For this purpose Jesus came into the world; John 12;27

Jesus death was a rasom for mankinds sin;  Matthew 20:28; Romans 3:24.

  3. not a cult

  4. Mmm, it's not a "blood cult," and you have some very incorrect information.  You also miss the point.

  5. You might need to read a book called ' The World's 16 Crucified Saviors.

  6. The blood represent the death. A person who commits a horrible crime receives the death penalty. The penalty is death to anyone who breaks Gods moral Law. Since all have broken the Law, He stood in for us and died. That is how "His blood" saves us. It was shed for us. You foolishly try to argue about that which you are ignorant about. Are you an Atheist? Atheism is a cult my friend. Look it up, look it up!!!

  7. I don't know but I do know this-you evidently don't understand the "why" of a blood sacrifice. In other religions a person is supposed to earn his/her way to salvation. A person has to do many. many good deeds to earn their way to heaven. It's not freely given to them as it is in Christianity  In the Old Testament days forgiveness came through the sacrifice of animals. Blood equals life. No blood=no life. This made blood necessary. Plus, they were sacrificing the best they had. They didn't sacrifice just any animal or the oldest, lame, sick, etc. They offered the best. God offered His best=Jesus for our salvation.

Let me ask a couple of questions.

Jesus knew what was going on and He died willingly. Jesus died so we could live,

Jesus overcame death. Jesus didn't stay dead. He defeated Satan and death and came back to life three days later.

Religion is not a cult and not based on paganism.  Religion is thanks and praise to God. Religion-the Christian religion is based primarily on Jesus Christ and what He accomplished for us. Think about it. It's FOR YOU. And you reject/ridicule it ????  Wow.

  8. Christianity isn't a cult, it is a relationship, we do not depend on a system of religious ritual, we depend on the Lord. it is a family, the true church is a family.

God dind't require a human sacrifice but a super-human sacrifice, its not as if i volunteered i could have, it had to be the sinless, spotless blood of the Savior.that is what the prophets preached, and that is what the church preaches.

there are blood cults because satan is a copy cat and distorter. he has nothing of his own so he has to take things from nature to deceive.

  9. Sumerian (Demuzzi) and the Canaanites (Ba'al) sons of God were both sacrificed.  Osiris the son of Geb, an Egyptian god, was sacrificed and resurrected. Many cultures tell the same tale. Granted it was usually for growth. prosperity and fertility, not forgiveness of sins. Perhaps, they considered saving their mortal souls less significant than things that truly impacted their daily existence.

  10. bigotry

    noun

Irrational suspicion or hatred of a particular group, race, or religion: intolerance, prejudice. See like

You could make that mistake and interpret it that way, Many people have and do. Maybe they like there cult and it makes them happy.

Why do you need to p**p on people and what makes them happy.

    How about this.

God who so loves his creation and his children he  Sacriifced HIS power the alpha and the omega KNowing all and everything HE gave it all up and was born into our Brutal world of Opposites.

He so loved us he became us. He experianced all of it the good and the bad the pleasure and even the pain of being crucified. With JOY

HE did it so that when YOU go to heaven and OF course YOU will

You can tell him about your paiin and you can know he knows what your talking aboutl

    Get it

its about LOVE and becoming ONE> Having a relationship. with a God that YOU can relate too. A crossing of paths a cross and a meeting You can talk to someone who has been there and done that.

I suspect however that you are just angry and are angry at your parents who forced that  volcano God on you.

Let it go. Read the Upanishads the Damapada the Gita.

    then reread the bible.

    You might get it.

  11. you failed.
