Biden has 10 times more experience than Obama, maybe 20X or 30X. Has this happened before?

  1. Cheney over Bush.

  2. Name a VP candidate he could have chosen with LESS experience than himself.  Is there any?

  3. Should Obama make it to the White house he will need someone to show him were the bathroom is. Obama voted against funding the war where Biden vote FOR funding the war.

  4. Nobama has NO experience,Biden is a foul mouth liar who will take the focus off of Nobama's lack of understanding of important issues like,National Defense,Economy, and foreign relations.

  5. oSure, but not the vast difference we see here.  Biden is not only experienced with 30+ years, but doesn't that really make him the insider that Obama was so against?

So this is the change Obama was talking about.  Same old politics as ever.  Obama was so adamant about being against the Iraq war.  Remember Biden voted for it. Also Obama speaks about racism, and Biden made some politically incorrect remarks there too.

  6. As for change he has been in Washington Politic's longer than McCain and even in 2007 said Obama was not qualified to be President..

  7. you see its only smart play to pick a worthy successor in case of loss. Besides you and I both know your the best choice for vice pres for at least you know how to ask the obvious because most worry for barrack. as 1st black president it wont be easy to not be uneasy.

  8. I am sure that a number of years has been between the VP and Pres but definitely not 30+ years.

Obama contends that he is the candidate of change but with his recent mudslinging ads and negative campaigning coupled with Biden as a VP pick (you can't get more Washington Insider than that) we are seeing that he is really just politics as usual.

Also speaks volumes about the lack of experience of Obama that he chose Biden for VP.  Who would really be running the US?

  9. Many, many times. JFK picked Johnson. Johnson picked Humphrey. Eisenhower picked Nixon. Etc.

Note: VP picks are totally political choices, that is, what gives the candidate the best chance to win, not whether the candidate actually likes the person or not.

JFK picked Johnson to try to secure the Bible Belt and to get the older Dems to be more supportive.

Btw, the best thing McCain could possibly do is pick a woman, that would be the best purely political choice. But I won't hold my breath.

  10. Kennedy/Johnson; Clinton/Gore (Clinton had no national experience); and let's not forget Bush/Cheney

By the way, although Obama has only been a US senator for 4 years, he has been in politics for about 18 years, and has held elective office for 12 years.

  11. no matter who obama picked would get him flak from the right--choose someone "young" and the right would say "no experience" and pick someone older/more experienced and the right would say "washington insider". Unfortunately, this is the ugly side of politics. Generally speaking i am quite happy with biden. He provides great balance.

  12. George W. Bush
