Bit of a trick question,this one. Inthe u.k., there are 20fluid ounces to the pint; imperial pint, so, you,ve 160 fluid ounces to the gallon.  Now we come to the u.s.a., sixteen ounces to the pound, so we,ll have sixteen fluid ounces to the pint. 128 fluid ounces to the American gallon. Which explains why brits are always surprised to still be sober in American bars when they count up their drinks.
