  1. The 1 oz is a best estimate that doctors give you. If your bay is happy with 4 oz then don't worry. You said your baby isn't over weight and isn't gaining weight fast so it should be OK! Good luck!

  2. Well than stick with it. Unless she is throwing up everytime you feed her, then yeah, I would say you are overfeeding her if that is the case. Both my boys were drinking 4oz by the time they were two months, but I also had 9lb babies they could handle it. You feed that child every hour you will never get to sleep.  You remember sleep right?

One thing I will also recommend - a book called the Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg. I recommend it to all new mothers. You must read it. I promise you will have your child sleeping through the night before you know it.  A friend of mine thanked me for giving it to her and she said it was a godsend.

  3. My son was eating 6 oz every 3 hours.... and was hungry even before the 3 hrs was up but I was told by my ped to wait till the 3 hrs to feed him again...

Every baby is different really... it all depends.

  4. The rule of thumb is 2.5 ounces of formula per pound of weight every 24 hours. So, if she weighs 10 pounds, aim for her to take 25 ounces every 24 hours.

(I also tell everyone I know to read the Baby Whisperer, not just to get baby sleeping through the night, but just sleeping, eating and playing habits in general.  It's a super book!)

  5. as much as she wants as long as it isn't causing her problems
