  1. Well, write a lot more than you need, because a lot will get cut. I wrote a half-hour infomercial that I timed at about 18 pages double spaced. In reality, at least six pages had to be cut in production.

  2. Drama: 110-120

    Action / Action-Adventure: 95-115

    Romantic Comedy / Comedy: 90-110

    Horror / Thriller: 90-110

Generally, it's one minute of screen time per page of script. That's a rough guideline, it all depends on how much dialogue and action is on each page. But it's a good guideline for a beginning screenwriter.

More than 120 pages and the reader will be very unhappy.

    Good luck!

  3. it depends what kind of script it is.  rule of thumb is 1 minute of screen time per page.
