  1. I'd say if she wants a pair thats 30 dollars then she can't get another 20 dollar pair. I'd put a hundred dollar limit. If you do laundry more than once a week she'll be fine.

  2. I guess I'm lucky I only have sons who aren't clothes conscious.  I know what they look good in and what sizes they wear and I buy what they need.  If they want additional they pay for it.

  3. 4 pairs $120 max.  Anything else, buy it yourself, kid.

  4. My mom buys me two or three pairs at $40 maximum. If you are looking for budget, but name brand, jeans try Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. You can get name brand jeans for approx. $20 each there.

  5. 5 and about 20 each.

  6. I would probably buy him 4-5 pairs of jeans. And my limit would be $30.

  7. I have a love affair with Banana Republic jeans at $80/ea. lol Walmart has really nice wrangler jeans for around $20. If your kid isn't too messy, I'd get him/her one nice designer pair and the rest all cheap kinds, at least this way s/he can wear them for a special event or something...

  8. My mom gives me my back to school money and I go buy it. I have about 6 pairs of jeans from $40-70 each. I actually bought a pair of Justin Timberlake jeans for like over $100. I paid for half of it though.

Oh, and just to let you know the K-Mart, Wal-Mart and Target clothes fall apart.  You can buy brand-name things at like Marshalls ofr TJ Max.

  9. My mom used to buy me 3 pairs in the fall at 15-20 dollars each and another 2-3 for Christmas (since I ussually outgrew them by then).

  10. 4-5   60 bucks each, but she is going to be paying for half of it out of her chore money.

  11. I'd start the year with one or two new pairs (2 if she or he likes two noticebly different styles). Then buy more later when they wear out. $50 max

  12. my dad ussually takes us shopping and since he is like single from his golddigger girlfriend we really have no limit

  13. If your going to shop at KMart for his jeans at least buy him some cool shirts.  High schoolers are brutal.  I buy my kids all Sean John and Nautica clothes and I pay Kmart prices for them.  You just have to catch the good sales.  I bought a pair of Sean John short that were regular $36 and got them for $8.  Highschoolers are really superficial.  Im not trying to sound materialistic, but I remember all too well what it was like having a bunch of preppy friends and being the only one in Kmart jeans.  Please dont take offense.  But anyways back to the original question, I would buy 6, and Nautica has the buy one get one at 50% off too.

  14. I make sure that each kid has 5 pairs of pants.  I let my 8th grader who values the jeans over the shirts to pick out 1 or 2 pair of nicer jeans each year and then the rest are just normal jeans about $20 - $25.  He likes sports team t-shirts so they are not that expensive.  My 6th grader is all about the shirts and does not care what pants he wears so we spend less on his pants and more on his shirts.  I shop EBay alot and have gotten some great deals on designer stuff.  I got a pair of new with tags Ralph Lauren Polo jeans for $15 including shipping and a lot of similar deals on other things.  This way I can let the kids get more of what they want and not break my wallet in the process.

  15. Try TJ MAXX, or Marshall's you'll get jeans that are of good quality for a good price.  The ones at K-mart will probably fall apart, like the shoes I got.  And I bet you'll pay the same price.

  16. 4 and probably 20 each

  17. 5 pairs and nothing over  $30. there are usually good sales going on pretty soon. so good luck go to ross, tj maxx, jc pennies have really nice clothes and good deals on brand name clothes.
