How many paragraphs,2,000 word essay for school?

Hello, I have to write a senior paper, its not due till December. But I want to get it done asap. I just wanted to get a good idea of how many paragraphs I should have in order to right a good essay. I know I have to have an opening and a closing. I usually write 3 in the middle, but I'm making an assumption that its going to have to be longer then that.If anyone could give me a good idea that would be great. Thanks for all the help in advance:)!

The standard 5 paragraph essay should be plenty of words as long as they aren't 3 sentences long. Just spend a bit more time in your supporting paragraphs.  

Open paragraph w/ thesis statement.

3 supporting paragraphs

Closing paragraph w/ conclusion

Write about life.  That's it.  Explain how the world is getting difficult and how new problems are comming up.  trust me you can write 50,000 words on this topic alone
