How many passports are you allowed to have?

My mother is irish, my father is English and I was born in England. so far I only have Irish passport/nationality, I'm allowed to have english as well, i was wondering am i allowed any other? (I've been living in France for over 12 years so technically I can ask for french nationality)

    No, you will not apply for a French passport until you become a French citizen.

    That means you can have only one you choose even if you suceed to get the 3 nationalities

    After its different for the choice of your nationality and identity card, you can have 3

    Np for english and irish one with your family and birthplace

    For the french one 5 years legal residence is enough but that isn't the only criteria cause your parents,birthplace aren't French, you are not a refugee , you don't come from a French related country and you maternal language isn't french.

    So the decision ll come from a tribunal judgment. other criterias are studies level, talents that can help the nation, your language and cultural level, your judicial status.

    the best is still to marry a french girl a wait for 1 year :p
