Question:

How many people actually believe in global warming?

we are not causing our planet to get hotter, the sun is getting brighter, scientists have already proved this. the ice caps on mars are also melting (like the ones on earth) and there are moons that orbit saturn and jupitar that are covered in ice and are begining to melt. the only reason the government is advertising global warming as being so bad is because they want to release a "carbon tax" another way for them to make more money. people need to wake up already...

  1. Most people, most all scientists.  Here's why.  (And don't trust me, proof of what I say is in the links)

Solar radiation isn't increasing, it's decreasing.  Proof:

"Recent oppositely directed trends in solar

climate forcings and the global mean surface

air temperature", Lockwood and Frolich (2007), Proc. R. Soc. A

    doi:10.1098/rspa.2007.1880

    News article at:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6290228.st...

Mars' warming is due to giant dust storms.  Proof:

    Most people agree.  Proof:

    Most all scientists.  Proof:

EVERY major scientific organization has issued an official statement that this is real, and mostly caused by us.  The National Academy of Sciences, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute of Physics, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Meteorological Association, etc.

  2. I totally agree with you.. at school they MADE us watch The Inconvinient Truth, with Al Gore.. I personally think its c**p....

  3. yes, the democrats are really pushing, so al gore and his buds can make money on ethanol, while starving the poorest, we could drill here, we are not stupid would not ruin the environment, gore flys in private plane, and by the looks of him hes not hungry, hannity on fox showed reports from scientists saying if anything the planet is getting colder.

  4. well that maybe true but i also think that it steamed from our own doing as well we are populting the planet just think where are all the fumes we make going it cant escape or atmosphere so it gets caught in earth.

you have to admit we are also cause problems with consuming all the resources of this planet etc. continue to think greener people we need that.

  5. I don't.

  6. the thing you know is untrue (the asker) because the exceed of CFC in the atmospher made the hole over the south core 'cause CFC is as if unlacing O3 (ozone) which is causing the ozone depletion. and without the ozone the light which is coming from the sun will never be filters from infra-red which 'cause skin cancer and other diseases. and without the ozone layer the earth will increase it's tampreture which will lead to the melting of antarctica.  so i believe in global warming.  and for what you said about the sun is getting brighter, the sun may become less brighter after alot of years of service :P :P :P :P JK....!!!

anyay ...hope it's the best answer .

  7. I wouldn't mind believing it, maybe it would get warm where I live for a change than..... but since it's just gotten colder, I haven't started believing it yet... and I don't know why I would believe in something like that.

  8. What you just said was so American. I bet that using a V8 is required by American laws.

The sun might be getting brighter, but denying that we are contributing to the warming is just plain dumb. Maybe you wouldn't be so affected by the carbon tax if you cut using that much gas.

  9. Never did believe it, Gore is a loon.

  10. i dont really know if its real or not all i know is if we humans have screwed up this planet bad enough to change its temrature then there is nothing we can do to reverse it at this point im sure whats done is done for a while

  11. http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/glo...

    check this interactive globe

Global warming is but a component, in a group of destructive forces at work such as ;deforestation, desertification, soil and water contamination ,irresponsible or wasteful utilization of bio resources , air pollution,Non sustainable Agriculture, over pumping carbon aquifers

all concepts which are definitely not part of the Natural Processes of the Natural world

    .

    WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR,

The most prolific growth on this planet is part of the day in the mist and most of the time under clouds ,and the least growth is always directly in the sun .

To exchange the one for the other means changing local climates

We are exchanging Nature with Tar , concrete and open spaced mono cultures.

In 300 years half of the planets forests have gone ,and in the last 50 years half of the wet lands ,and rain forests

These Areas absorb heat during the day and release heat at night ,

Cause cloud formation(shade).humidifying the air on the surface as well as releasing excess water at the roots that keep rivers flowing ,which in turn brings more water into the Environment .

As well as contributing to absorbing carbon emissions as do the leaves of the trees together with the oceans .

All in all many factors which directly affect the local Environment .

The loss of the above resulting in rivers drying up ,less rain ,desertification, loss of habitat for many species and so on.

dryer and hotter surface environments which can manifest in different weather patterns such as tornadoes or bush fires

I may be stupid or Naive but somehow i believe that lots of these local environmental changes, can add up to affect global weather, If there are enough of them (and there are)

Man has been having effects on nature for thousands of years already http://malaysia.answers.yahoo.com/questi...

And then on top of that comes the story of the effects of pollutants released into Nature and especially the Air ,by MAN http://earthissues.multiply.com/photos/a...

A cocktail of events and a lot of the ingredients have MAN written all over them

So it is safe to assume that we should look at ourselves  ,for possible improvements ,and rectifying Eco errors that are with in our powers.

    What is a safer bet

to be or not to be

  12. global warming is real!!! we are not the sole cause but we are a part of it. but ur right a carbon tax from the gov woudnt surprise me, but right now they are too worried about oil to actually try to take a step in the right direction

  13. the belief is not in "warming," but rather in the human component of warming.  ask any geologist if the temp has changed throughout geohistory.

i for one  say there are too mnay warmers out there

  14. Al Gore claimed that the deadly Myanmar cyclone, which struck on May 3, could be a result of alleged man-made global warming. "the trend toward stronger and more destructive storms appears to be linked to global warming," stated Gore.

But scientists disagree, saying there is no way to link any single weather event to CO2 and global warming.

Using tragedy to advance an agenda has been a strategy for many global-warming activists. It was just a matter of time until someone found a way to link Cyclone Nargis and global warming.

There is indeed a stupid tendency for people to now blame everything that happens in weather on global warming and the blame game has reached a level of hysteria

  15. There are quite a few who have bought into this scam. It starts in public schools the kids are indoctrinated by the NEA and liberal teachers to believe in this new liberal religion. They present it as indisputable  fact when it is not. A lot of scientists are fed up with the bad science and have started a petition against the concept of man made global warming. This takes a lot of courage as global warming is PC which means a lot of people will just go along as they are afraid of being called stupid by the fanatics who support it.

  16. I believe you have stated the problem succincly and correctly. I sent an email to one of these "green" carbon exchange web site that trys to sell you carbon exchanges (whatever the h**l they are) and told them that if they didn't start sending me money I was going to cut down a tree a day and burn it. So far they haven't responded.

  17. People will always believe is something.  There's people who believe in Bigfoot, UFO's life on other planets, heck people even believed planes would drop out of the sky at the stroke of midnight on Dec 31, 1999!

This is why science should be objective, depend on the math and not the opinions of groups.

  18. Just listen to the facts, the question scientist are facing is not if there is global warming...we're over that...the question is what caused it and what will happen next.

  19. i believe in it. i also believe it's exaggerated though. i also believe the outcome of global warming is quite different than what alot of people think it's going to be

  20. About 155

  21. Actually Global Warming is commonly known here in the U.S. A. and maybe China and Japan or any other big country. But in africa a little bit  know what it's all about. So the more the  people know what it, the more or less they believe in it.
