Visit their website, but this is something that is of concern to me:

Sarah Palin supports this group. Straight from her own mouth:

  1. Did you listen to the video to which you linked?

I think not, because if you actually listened to it, you would know that Palin called the Alaskan Independence Party her competition... TWICE!

Go back and listen to it again!

How dumb *are* Obamacans! Did you not know that the DNC even said this rumor is false. I think they came out publicly because this is making you guys look pathetically S T U P I D!

In this video, Palin, as Governor, is simply welcoming the party to Fairbanks. She goes on to say she believes that competition between the parties (the AIP and the GOP) is a good thing!!!

  2. I looked at your link.  It appears they are under legal action for misrepresenting Palin as being one of them.

I watched the video, it looks to me as if she agreed on ONE thing.  She congratulated them on a job well done in some areas.  Is that wrong?  She spoke as a governor.  What was she supposed to do, trash the convention?  This is a pitiful attempt of Democratic trashing and bashing of a great lady.

  3. You mean Palin's political party? Yes I have heard of it. They hate America so much they want to leave the union.

  4. Scandalous

  5. Not as many as need to.

  6. I'm fully aware of it, but I don't think most people are because I wasn't until I read about it after Sarah Palin's speech last night.

The republicans have no good answer for this one at all. They can't even lie about it because the facts are right staring them right in the face. Or can they?

  7. People are making more of this than it deserves.  The AIP basically thinks that the UN regulations were not properly conducted when AK was voted into the US.  According to the UN, there should be 4 options for the people to choose from

    remaining a territory

becoming a separate and independent nation

    accept Commonwealth status

    or becoming a state.

The options on the ballot were for statehood or to remain a territory. There was no option for independence on the ballot.

Critics of the vote also note that American military personnel voted in the election. This is also pointed to as a violation of international law which specifies that only the civilian population of a territory may vote.

  8. No one knows about this because Palin is trying to keep under wraps it would hurt the Republicans "Country First" idea.

  9. Well, we're not talking anybody that uses a spell-checker, for one thing.

Sounds like they've been pressured to retract their position.

And they ARE a separatist party - they were formed for the purpose of getting a separation referendum voted on, according to the history of the founder.
