How many people are surprised by espn's "filler" coverage?

i figured it would suck, but they've had some great topical guests and actually asked them good questions - very out of character for espn.

favorite moment: steven "boomhauer" wallace and david "stremme" being the most rational people when discussing the hamlin/keselowski deal and the rowdy/wallace deal. those two moved up a few notches in my book.

what has surprised you most about this "filler" coverage? have you been enjoying it?

  1. Finally a GREAT ESPN moment, marking my calendar for this one..lol

    Best moments were the comments from the Bush regulars, Steven Wallace especially!


  2. YES!!  It's been fabulous!!!  

    I even missed some of it because I had to take a nap for awhile...about an hour and 15 minutes.  I woke up at 4:07 (central) and heard them saying they were drying the track and whoever they had currently being interviewed had to go get dressed for Driver Introductions.  Then I realized I had woken up 5 minutes late for the SHUTTLE LAUNCH, which I always watch...and I popped out of bed so fast!!  LOL!!

    I watched since then, and have enjoyed the rest of it a lot.  I didn't really want to miss what I did, but my fatigue takes over about that time everyday - NASCAR or not unfortunately.  

    I did enjoy all of the focus they put on the Denny/Brad thing (first names are easier in this case - HA!) and really liked what everyone had to say (that I saw anyway).  Basically, they all think Denny was wrong...which I was very glad to hear!  Unless I missed someone that didn't agree??

    GOOOOOOO ESPN!!!  Nice job with the Rain Coverage!!!  

    And GOOOOO ROWDY'S WORLD - nice question!!!

  4. It was a very nice surprise and I thought it was very very cool. I am just waiting for the day when they finally decide to go side by side coverage, during the commercials like they do for the IRL.
